... Even if I never come visit.
This post is just to let you all know that although it's getting more and more painfully obvious that I never update my blog, I still exist.
I'm just stupid busy with other things. They are all happening all around me and while I still find time to play with my toys, I don't have time to truck them around to bookfairs lately.
My hope is that next year when things calm down a bit I will be more active, get a few better product photos, and stop slacking off quite so hard.
Thanks for all the support in the meantime. Please do feel free to contact me if you want to order a zine or a product. It just might take me a while to get back to you.
And please keep loving and fucking and bringin' The Man to his knees.
See ya
xooo

It will address the function and mystery of the cervix, as well as its medical significance. We'll discuss self-care and brainstorm strategies for improving our experiences with sexual health care providers. This workshop is open to all, but participants should be aware that there is frank discussion of sexuality and sexual anatomy, as well as a demonstration of cervical self-exam (complete with a real, live cervix!). May-hem coming up
Here is a shout out to Montreal, because I wish I were there in the streets with you. Because you all struggle so hard, and rock my activist world.
Life calls me far away elsewhere, but I will be (unofficially) attending the bookfair this year (MAY 25th and 26th) for sure.
Hope to see you all there.
**NB - I lied. I can't make it to the bookfair this year. But I will be thinking of y'all fondly**

Criminalizing Pregnancy
Not just because I think about pregnancy all the time,
and not just because I have a huge crush on Amy Goodman,
I am passing on this news program on the erosion of reproductive freedoms in America since Roe vs Wade 40 years ago.
In this piece, Democracy Now exposes countless cases of forced institutionalization of pregnant women for such offences as seeking abortion, or refusing medical treatment. It's a really messed up reminder that the definition of reproductive rights needs to include much more than just access to safe and affordable abortion care.
Enjoy.

Because it's Movember
...and because the whole cancer research industry is corrupt,
and because our world is sick and it makes people sick,
here's a picture of a really great moustache:
which i got from this blog, in case you're curious.

Birth in Prison
Someone brought this news story to my attention yesterday:
Inmate's rights allegedly violated in jailhouse birth
Disturbing, but not shocking. All the more reason to abolish prisons.
I figured this post was appropriate considering the post inviting you all to the info session for the Prisoner Correspondence Project (below).
And while I'm introducing you to things, take a look at The Birth Attendants: Prison Doula Project, based out of Washington State. I went to see a presentation of theirs a few years ago. They assist pregnant/labouring people and new moms in jail, despite a lot of frigging barriers. The've got a few good resources on their, and a lot of interesting stories to tell.
No Freedom Without Reproductive Freedom.
